Chandigarh: Celebrating platinum jubilee year of its operations, Air conditioning and commercial refrigeration major Blue Star Limited on Wednesday announced to launch 75 new models of room air conditioners including a 7-star integrated air purifier technology air conditioners and also to foray into room coolers segment with wide range of its products.

Speaking on the occasion, C P Mukundan Menon, President, Sales and Marketing Products Business, said that the super and stylish models of 3 to 5 star AC also include super energy efficient inverter ACs capable of delivering 30 per cent extra cooling room air about 18 per cent less power consumption thus, setting a new benchmark on the energy efficiency front. All these ACs come with heavy duty Compressor with ten years warranty.

"Around 14 crore ACs unit are sold every year globally and out of these eight crores are sold in China. The domestic market is growing roughly at 10 per cent whereas blue star eyes 15 per cent growth and 13.5 per cent market share in FY20 as against 12.8 per cent in FY19", Mr Menon said.

The company had sales turnover of about Rs 4,600 crore turnover in FY18 in which includes earnings of about five per cent from exports to 17 countries. "We eye to double the exports to ten per cent in next three years," Mr Menon added.
