The moment you hear the word 'Candle Light Dinner', what comes to your mind? Beautifully lit candles with two people sitting face to face, red wine, delicious food, harmonious music etc right? Then all that fills around is just,love... love... and love.
Yes, That's exactly what Ente Mezhuthiri Athazhangal serves the audience. Just like a romantic and delicious candle lit dinner it fills our heart. Sanjay Thomas, the Director of the movie had paid great attention to the recipe of the movie.
Ente Mezhuthiri Athazhangal deals with the story of Sanjay,a world renowned chef and Anjali, a candle designer. The movie opens with a shot of the Gastronomy, Sanjay's restaurant in Kochi. The movie takes a U-turn to the past with a phone call. We are then taken to a flash back deliciously cooked with all the goodness love, friendship, family and a little bit sourness of pain.
Back then Sanjay was on his way exploring special dishes for his new restaurant. At this time he visit a family friend's house at Ooty. There he meet Anjali who stay as a paying guest with the family. Sanjay falls in love with Anjali the moment he saw her. Though he confess his love to her she simply rejects him with reasons which seems so silly and funny. Then as per Anjali's wish the duo decides to stay as friends. The movie is then moved forward by their friendship and journeys. Somewhere in the walk she finds her better half in Sanjay. But soon after falling in love, everything gets shattered.
Suddenly one day Anjali leaves the house without saying anything and never come back. She just vanished into thin mist. What happened to Anjali and why did she left him without a reason remained a big question as the flash back ended. The answer for these questions are what we get as the movie continue. The narration of the story gives it a fresh feel apart from the usual love stories.
The chemistry between Anoop Menon and Miya worked wonders in each shots. The roles handled by Alencier and Baiju are undoubtedly one of their best roles. Directors Lal Jose, Sreekanth Murali, V K Prakash and Dileesh Pothen appear in small but important roles.
The music of the film is the cherry on the cake. M.Jayachandran's music and Rahul Raj's BGM perfectly blends with the theme. The frames captured by Jithu Damodhar is yet another feature which adds on to the complete mood of the story.
Ente Mezhuthiri Athazhangal is a movie which caters audience of all age group with its delicious and tasty dishes.
