Dhaka, The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) of Bangladesh on Thursday issued arrest warrants against 12 accused in Mymensingh for crimes against humanity during the 1971 liberation war.
The order was passed by a three-member judicial panel, headed by chairman Justice Shahinur Islam. Prosecutors Mokhlesur Rahman Badal and Tapash Kanti Bal told reporters that the investigation into the crimes against humanity, including murder, abduction, torture and looting, was in its final stages.
The tribunal issued warrants for the arrest of the 12 accused on the plea of ??the prosecution.
