Thirty confirmed dead due to Kabul blast
 
Kabul: At least 30 people are confirm to have been killed and over 70 injured due to the the bomb blast that took place outside an education center in the western part of Kabul city yesterday confirmed security officials on Sunday. The incident took place in the Pul-e-Khoshk area of Dasht-e-Barchi after a suicide bomber detonated explosives close to the center, informed government officials. The Interior Ministry said that the suicide bomber detonated his explosives before reaching his target as security guards at the center were able to identify his intentions.

Tolonews quoted eyewitnesses saying that dozens of students were in their classes inside the Kawsar education centre when the attack took place. A number of nearby houses were also damaged due to the attack. The families of the victims of the heinious attack have urged the government to conduct "serious investigation" into the incident. Head of the High Council of National Reconciliation Abdullah Abdullah in a statement condemned the suicide attack and described it as inhuman and against Islamic values.

US Charg? d''Affaires Ross Wilson condemned the attack, saying, "Afghans want a peaceful future and reject this violence, and Americans stand with them." Sharhzad Akbar, the chairperson of the Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission, said: "After a week of horrific violence across Afghanistan" the news on the attack "drains every last ounce of energy and hope." Meanwhile the Islamist militia Taliban has rejected involvement in the attack.
