Kochi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday said Kerala needs a corruption-free and progressive government but neither the ruling LDF nor the Opposition UDF could not deliver the same.
Addressing a Election rally at Kanjirappally in Kottayam District, Mr Shah said "I urge the people of Kerala to give BJP a chance to serve this great land in the April 6 Assembly election."
He alleged that "People of Kerala are fed up with the corruption and misrule of the CPI-M-led LDF government."
The Home Minsiter targetted Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on the gold scam and sought his clarification that whether the prime accused in the case worked in his office.
He also alleged that the Left Government sought the Army's help too late during the flood in 2018.
"There have been two floods occured in Kerala, and over 500 people lost their lives. But, the State Government called the Army very late.
The LDF government concerned only for their own political mileage. They do not care about the lives of the people of Kerala," he alleged.
Earlier, Mr Shah held a roadshow in Tripunithura adding vigour to the election campaign of NDA.
Mr KS Radhakrishnan is contesting from Tripunithura. From there, he left for Kanjirappally where former Union Minister Alphons Kannanthanam is contesting.
Later, the Home Minister took part in the election campaigns at Chathanoor in Kollam and Kanjikode in Palakkad.
