Thiruvananthapuram: With 39 more people testing positive to Coronavirus on Friday, total affected cases rose to 164 in Kerala, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said here. Stating that currently 1,10,299 people are under surveillance, out of which 1,09,683 under isolation in homes and 616 in hospitals, he said 136 people were admitted to hospitals in the State on Friday.
"This is also to be noted that another 12 positive cases have been cured earlier and they were discharged from hospitals after testing negative. Hence, the total cases reported positive in Kerala were 176," the Chief Minister clarified. "Out of 39 positive cases of today''s, 34 are from Kasargod District, two from Kannur and one each from Thrissur, Kozhikode and Kollam districts," he added.
"Out of 5,679 blood samples sent for the Virology Institute, 4,448 tested negative, he said.
