Student Stabbed at University College: SFI leaders have gone absconding
 
Thiruvananthapuram: SFI unit secretary Nazeem and president Sivaranjith, the two accused in the incident of stabbing a student at University college, Thiruvananthapuram have gone absconding. Police said that their mobile phones are switched off and wide search is going on to locate them.
According to the FIR, the accused had planned to Akhil. They had chased Akhil screaming "we will kill you". As per the witness statements it was Sivaranjith who thrust the knife onto Akhil's chest.
Akhil, a third year Political Science student was stabbed when he was sitting under a tree along with his friends. He was rushed to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College hospital. Due to internal bleeding, Akhil will have to undergo surgery, said a hospital source.
Three other students were also injured in the attack. The incident was the continuation to a dispute between two groups of students belongin to the CPM students wing.
