Kochi: The test results of blood samples of the 23-year-old young man, who is undergoing treatment for suspected Nipah virus will come out by Monday noon. The health minister of Kerala K.K. Shylaja has informed that the government is awaiting the final results from the Pune institute. However, the government has taken preventive measures into place.
The young man, who was studying in Idukki was admitted to a private hospital in Kochi with fever and other symptoms. He had been suffering for last ten days. The boy traveled to Thrissur with a group of 22 students for an internship programme. After getting back home he was admitted to a private hospital in Ernakulam. His samples were sent to NIA in Alleppey and NIA in Pune. As per the reports from NIA Alleppey, it was suspected to be Nipah.
However, the government has declared that the news about confirmed Nipah case is groundless and instructed to withhold from spreading fake news.
