Telangana CM calls on Kerala CM
 
Thiruvananthapuram: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who mooted the idea of a non-Congress, non-BJP Front at the national level, called on his Kerala counterpart at his official residence ''Cliff House'' here on Monday. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, his wife Kamala and their daughter T Veena received the Telangana Chief Minister on his arrival at the Cliff House, where he reached driving straight from the airport.

The Telangana Chief Minister is accompanied by his wife K Sobha, their two grandchildren, TRS MPs Santhosh Kumar and Vonod Kumar, an official statement said. The two leaders discussed the current political situation existing in the country and issues related to the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. The possibility of the emergence of a Third Front was also a central point at their discussion, sources said.

The Telangana Chief Minister, who is on a two-day visit to the State, will visit important places in the city including Sree Padmanabha Swamy temple. He will leave for Kanyakumari on May 8 afternoon and from there he will go to Hyderabad. Sources said Rao will meet DMK chief MK Stalin on May 13. Earlier, he met Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy, who termed it was a courtesy call.
