Congress destroyed nation for last 60 years: Gadkari
 
Pune: Union transport minister and senior leader of Bhartiya Janata Party, Mr Nitin Gadkari on Saturday said that Congress who have ruled the country for past many years has fully destroyed the nation and its natives. Addressing the party rally here on Saturday evening, in support of party''s Lok Sabha nominee Girish Bapat who is contesting the election from Pune city, Mr Gadkari said when BJP came to power, it has given its top priority to development and good governance.

"We have done our homework on how to remove poverty and if there will be no poverty in India, our nation will ultimately flourish," Mr Gadkari said. "I never make any false promises, the BJP has done everything we promised during 2014 election, " he said. "We have brought revolution in various sector including the connectivity of major road from city to village, resources of water and revived the closed irrigation project in every state for the welfare of our country farmers," the minister said.

He said the government have worked so hard for the purification of Ganga river, that as a result 20 crore people attended the holy Kumbh mela this year. "Our government is committed to bring overall development and prosperity to nation and people of the country while appealing to voters to vote for BJP which is the only better option for the nation today," he added.
