Modi fear behind SP-BSP alliance: Keshav Maurya

Lucknow: Claiming that Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) were compelled to form an alliance due to Modi fear, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Wednesday said that SP president Akhilesh Yadav was not loyal to his father, how can he be faithful to his aunt. Addressing the rallies in Etawah, Kanpur and Jalaun districts, Mr Maurya said that Akhilesh has insulted his father Mulayam Singh Yadav and uncle Shivpal Yadav and now, has found new Bua (aunt).

If someone is not loyal for his real relatives, how can he be trustworthy for a made-up relation, he wondered. Slamming the Opposition parties, Mr Maurya said that caste equation of SP-BSP-RLD has failed, while Congress was supporting anti-national elements.

He alleged that Congress has mentioned in its manifesto that it can''t be trusted. UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi was worried for her son only, while the public concerned for the nation and Mr Modi was the best option for them, he added. The UP Deputy CM said that law and order situation improved in Yogi Adityanath government, while in the previous SP and BSP regimes, criminals had political protection.

He said that atrocities against women and the poor had declined across the state in the ruling party. Speaking about the recent air strike, Mr Maurya said that a befitting reply will be given to the terrorist activities and those, who supported them. He said Section 370 will be removed from Jammu and Kashmir, if someone needs different PM for that territory.

About the recent comments of SP leader Azam Khan on BJP candidate Jaya Prada, the UP deputy CM said that SP-BSP senior leaders, including Akhilesh and Mayawati did not react on Mr Khan''s comment on Ms Jayaprada. He said that dignity should be maintained during election campaigning, but leaders like Mr Khan have no respect for women.
