Priyanka ask women to fight for their political rights

Chitrakoot, Congress general secretary and in-charge of Uttar Pradesh Priyanka Gandhi Vadra appealed to the women to unite and fight to get their political rights.

" You will have to be Draupadi and take arms in your hand to get your rights rather than waiting for Govinda(Krishna) to save you," she said.

Interacting with women on the banks of Mandakani river here on Wednesday after worshipping at Swami Matsyagajendranath temple, in the programme " Ladki Hu, Lar Sakti hu", Priyanka said Congress has already announced 40 per cent reservation for women in candidature for assembly polls and hence they will not have to wait further to get their rights.

She said it is only the women who can improve the situation as women are the most sufferer in the present circumstances.

" The women of UP will have to unite and vote for a Congress woman in the assembly polls to get back their rights," she added.

She said the condition of UP is very bad ." People died standing in the queue for fertilizers. UP government failed during Corona period."

Priyanka said there is a long list of promises made by her party for the women if voted to power.

After the programme , the Congress leader is slated to worship at Kamadnath temple.
