India beat England to win inaugural T20 Physical Disability World Series
 
Worcester: India defeated England by 36 runs to win the T20 inaugural Physical Disability World Series trophy played here at New Road stadium. After captain Vikrant Keni opted to bat first, India lost opener Wasim Khan in the first over. However, the other opener Kunal Phanase (36) and skipper Keni (29) shared a 46-run stand for the second wicket. Later, Ravindra Sante took the charge and notched up his fifty. His 53-run knock included 2 fours and 4 sixes.

Suganesh Mahendaran (33) supported him form the other end helping India to score 180 for 7 in their 20 overs. India scored 95 coming in the last seven overs In reply, England opener Angus Brow started well with a 44-run knock of 32 balls but his team lost the way. The hosts were 90 for 1 in the 11th over but Phanase and Sunny Goyat struck and picked up two wickets each and restricted England to 144 for 9 to clinch the title.

Earlier, India had defeated Pakistan by eight wickets in their last round-robin match to seal their berth in the final while England reached the final after defeating Afghanistan in the semi-final.
