Indoor stadium to be built in Shahpur: Minister
 
Dharamshala: An indoor stadium will be constructed soon in Shahpur assembly segment on which an amount of crores of rupees will be spent.

This information was given by Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Sarveen Chaudhary while talking to UNI on Monday. She said that in addition to this, the construction work of sports ground and open gym is being started in ward number-four Dhuliar of Nagar Panchayat Shahpur with Rs 25 lakh and the first installment of Rs 15 lakh has been released to the Public Works Department. Instructions have been given to apply the tender for this work at the earliest so that this work can be completed soon, minister disclosed.

The Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment said that the Chief Minister Youth Sports Promotion Scheme has been started with a view to increase the interest of youth in sports and encourage them for sports activities as well as to create awareness about staying fit. She said that Sports grounds are being constructed in every assembly constituency of the state in a phased manner so that the youth can keep themselves healthy and they do not have to go far away for this. She said that the complete and overall development of Shahpur was her priority.

Sarveen said that the state government is working with the objective of development of all. Under the able leadership of Chief Minister Jairam Thakur, the functioning of the state government and the decisions taken in the public interest are being appreciated everywhere. All-round development of Shahpur is being ensured under the efficient leadership of the Chief minister. Special attention is being given to the areas of drinking water, irrigation, education, health in the region.

She said that the state government has launched several schemes towards women's welfare and empowerment. She said that Chief Minister Jairam Thakur has introduced "Swarna Jayanti Nari Sambal Yojana" in this budget, in which a provision of social pension of one thousand rupees for senior women between 65 and 69 years of age has been made. She said that provision has been made to give Rs. 21000 grant as deposit to two girls of BPL family.
