Raina undergoes knee surgery, to miss domestic season
New Delhi: Indian cricketer Suresh Raina underwent a knee surgery in Amsterdam after facing discomfort and will require 4-6 weeks of rehab for recovery. "Mr Suresh Raina underwent a knee surgery where he had been facing discomfort for the last few months. The surgery has been successful and it will require him 4-6 weeks of rehab for recovery'''', BCCI tweeted on Friday. The left handed batsman is likely to miss the initial phase of upcoming 2019-20 domestic season.
Raina who has been out of contention, played last for India in July 2018 during the T-20 series in England. In the meantime, Raina also represented Chennai Super Kings in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 where he struggled for consistency and finished with less than 400 runs for the first time in 3 seasons.
