Bangabandhu-Bapu digital exhibition opens in Dhaka

Dhaka, The Bangabandhu-Bapu digital exhibition was opened for public viewing in Dhaka on Saturday. Education Minister of Bangladesh Dr. Dipu Moni, State Minister for Culture K.M.Khalid and High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh Vikram Doraiswami opened the exhibition at the Shilpkala Academy in Dhaka.
The exhibition showcases in a thematic manner the lives of the father of the nation of Bangladesh Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi. The exhibition has been specially curated by the two governments to commemorate the Mujib Borsho, birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib and 150 years of the birth of Mahatma Gandhi as well as the golden jubilee of India-Bangladesh bilateral relations.

Inaugurating the exhibition, Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni said that India and Bangladesh are bound not only by history and geography but their destinies are also bound together. Recalling the great sacrifice of Indian soldiers and other freedom fighters in the liberation of Bangladesh, Dr. Moni said the bond of friendship between the two countries is everlasting.

High Commissioner Vikram Doraiswami said that the exhibition will be displayed at Chattogram, Sylhet, Rajshahi and Khulna in Bangladesh and also internationally after it ends in Dhaka on October 11.
The exhibition was virtually inaugurated on 16 December last year by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina during the virtual summit of the two leaders. During the visit of Prime Minister Modi to Bangladesh in March 2021, the two leaders visited and appreciated the digital exhibition at a special display arranged at Dhaka.
