Riyadh: Saudi Arabia suspended air travel to and from India, Brazil and Argentina, in view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the country's Civil Aviation Authority said on Wednesday.
However, people having a travel history to any of the three countries 14 days prior to their arrival to the Kingdom have been barred, it said.
"Suspending travel to and from the following countries (India, Brazil, and Argentina) including any person who has been in any of the mentioned countries in the last (14) days prior to their arrival to the Kingdom," General Authority of Civil Aviation said in a statement.
As per the Worldometer Coivd tracker, India is second-most infected country in the world with more than 56 lakh cases, followed by Brazil with over 45 lakh infections. Argentina, is at the 10th spot with over six lakh cases.
Saudi Arabia is one of the most picked destination for Indian professionals.
