Hyderabad: PURE EV, which is manufacturing high performance Lithium batteries, would set up another EV scooter unit in Hyderabad with an investment of Rs 100 crore by 2021 to meet the EV marcket demand in the country.
The proposed unit capacity was one lakh scooters per annum, however , the present state-of-the-art facility which was established in 40,000 sq. ft, located in IIT-Hyderabad premises at Sangareddy, outskirts of the city , capacity was 2000 units per month, Company Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mr.Rohit Vadera told reporters at the sidelines of the launching of high speed electric scooter ‘ EPluto 7G’, here on Sunday.
We are planning to deploy over 10,000 EVs on road during in the current calendar year from the existing facility, he said the scooter has an ICAT-certified range of 116 km per full charge, which is the highest in the country in this segment and comes with a Patented Battery Technology.
