Centre misuses offices of Governors: Sitaram Yechury

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 15 (UNI) The BJP-led Government at the Centre is misusing the offices of the Governors in non-BJP ruled States, CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury alleged on Tuesday.

Inaugurating a massive protest march organised by the CPI(M) in front of the Raj Bhavan, Yechury said the Governors' offices are being misused for the saffronisation of the education sector in the country under the BJP rule.

Tamil Nadu and West Bengal had to invoke legislative actions on Governor’s role as Chancellors of State Universities, he added.
