New Delhi, Feb 21 (UNI): Due to lower back stifness all-rounder Hardik Pandya will miss the entire series against Australia including two Twenty20 and 5 ODIs beginning from this Sunday at Visakhapatnam. "Pandya was suffering from lower back stiffness and so the medical team has decided to rest him," the BCCI release said on Thursday.
Ravindra Jadeja, originally left out from the ODI squad, has been named Pandya''s replacement for the five-match ODI series. Pandya was suspended for a short stint after making inappropriate comments on a TV show, but was later included in the team for the recent New Zealand tour. The two-match T20I series against Australia begins on Sunday, in Visakhapatnam, while the 50-over contests begins from March 2 in Hyderabad.
This will be India''s last ODI series before the World Cup which kicks off from May 30 in England.
