WTC Final, Day 2: India 146/3 at stumps against NZ

Southampton: India ended the intriguing second day on 146 for 3 against New Zealand in the final of the World Test Championship,

Virat Kohli (44) and Ajinkya Rahane (29*) were unbeaten at the crease when play was stopped on Day 2 due to bad light. They have added 58 runs for the unbroken fourth wicket stand.

Resuming the evening session from 120 for 3, Kohli and Rahane survived a testing six-over spell and added nine further runs before the weather closed in for a third and final time.

India had added only 51 runs in the second session and lost the wicket of Cheteshwar Pujara (8 off 54). Pujara was dismissed by an inswinger from Trent Boult.
