Thiruvananthapuram: India's second monkeypox case, a 31-year-old man undergoing treatment at the Kannur Government Medical College hospital tested negative, Kerala Health Minister Veena George said on Friday.
The patient who came from UAE on July 13 was admitted to the hospital on July 16 after showing symptoms of the virus infection, the Minister said.
He will be discharged from the hospital on Saturday, she said in a press release.
"The patient is mentally and physically healthy. The bumps on the skin are completely healed." His relatives and others who came into contact with the patients also tested negative, she added.
