New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed petitions seeking a review of its earlier judgment upholding the purchase of Rafale jets and accepted Indian National Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's apology for 'chowkidar chor hai' jibe against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"Rafale review petitions dismissed. Not within scope of judicial review under Article 32. No need to register an FIR by CBI," a three-judge bench, headed by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, said in an unanimous judgment.
The apex court ruled,"It is not the function of this Court to determine the prices nor for that matter can such aspects be dealt with on mere suspicion of persons who decide to approach it.
The internal mechanism of such pricing would take care of the situation. On the perusal of documents we had found that one cannot compare apples and oranges.
