Special Category Status to AP, if Congress comes to power in 2019: Rahul

Tirupati, Feb 22 (UNI) If Congress Party comes to power in 2019, we will give Special Category Status to AP, AICC President Rahul Gandhi during his speech at Taraka Rama Stadium public meeting here on Friday, after having darsan of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala by trekking through the foot path along with party leaders and had ''Mahalaghu darsan'' in the temple as common devotee.

Dissing at Modi on SCS to state, Rahul said that he had cheated AP people by not fulfilling his promise of according Special Category Status (SCS) 10 years to bifurcated state which was he made promise during previous general election campaign from the same place, where he has been delivering speech and he promised that Congress is committed in providing SCS to the state, asserting no force in this world will stop Congress party from giving SCS if any government is in power in the state.

He told that it was not promise made by Manmohan Singh or Modi as PM of India but it was the promise made by crores of Indians to the state of AP. He promised state people to provide SCS as the Congress had promised earlier if it comes to power in Delhi and also promised to provide jobs to unemployed youth apart from waiving farming loans to farmers and adding that if PM gives promise it is not a promise of single person but it is a promise of billions of Indians, which was notmaterialized by PM Modi who waived a loan of Rs 3.50 lakh crore to a industrialist, not taking his name, in the country by showing empty hand to the farmers in the country who promised them. Rahul also said that Prime Minister Modi, who mentioned himself during last election campaign from this platform that he was a ''chowkidar'' of people, was not at all a ''Chowkidar'' but he was a ''Chor''.

Pointing out of promises of Modi from same platform, Rahul said that Modi promised 15 lakh rupee will be deposited in each farmer account after his party came to power, was not fulfilled besides failing in providing 2 crore jobs every year to unemployed youth. Modi also utterly failed in providing remunerative prices to the produce of the farmers in the country who were left in lurch. Make in India, Thought in India, Sit in India, clean India, look left India were also proved lie and people of in the country are not ready to listen Modi''s tales. Explaining bout the Congress achievements including Land Acquisition Act in 2013, Rs 70, 000 crore loan waive to farmers then, successfully implementing NAREGA he said Congress government is always a committed government which stick to its promises.

Criticising Modi''s response at Phulwama terror attack, AICC president said Modi being a responsible Prime Minister had been preparing to film his bio-pic even after 3.30 hours of attack and questioned that does not he feel responsibility in consoling young brave martyrs family members when they were in deep distress apart form pointing out making favour Rs 3000 crores to Anil Ambani in Rafel deal.
