13,000 landless families to get title deeds in Kerala : CM
Thiruvananthapuram, As part of the 100-day action plan of the second Pinarayi Vijayan-led LDF Government in Kerala, title deeds will be given to13,000 landless families in the state.
Title deed distribution functions (Pattaya Mela) will be held in all the 14 district headquarters and 77 taluk centres in Kerala on September 14, the Chief Minister said in a Facebook post on Monday.
About 1.75 lakh title deeds were already given to landless families between 2016 and 2021 after the Pinarayi Vijayan Government came to power in the state.
The LDF government also plans to provide title deeds to all the landless in the state within five years.
The Left Government also plans to elaborate the existing scheme for landless with an additional aid of Rs 10 lakh for buying land and constructing a house in it.
The government will also form a Land Bank for which a Digital Survey will be conducted to identify land for providing it to landless.
An amount of Rs 339 crore had already given to Rebuild Kerala as part of the first phase of the project.
