Thiruvananthapuram: The total number of hotspots in Kerala rose to 100 with the announcement of three more COVID hotspots in the state on Tuesday. "Three panchayats in Idukki district including Munnar, one panchayat and a municipality in Kottayam district, and one panchayat each in Malappuram and Palakkad districts have been declared as hotspots today," Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said while addressing a press conference at the Government Secretariat.
"Based on the experiences of Kottayam and Idukki, we need to rethink and review the lockdown situation and decided on the further course by May 3," he added. Health Minister K K Shailaja, Revenue Minister, E Chandrasekharan and Chief Secretary Tom Jose were also present during the press briefing.
