CPI(M)'s 'praising Chinese policy' courts controversy

Kottayam, CPI(M) Politburo member S Ramachandran Pillai has courted a controversy by praising China in the party's district conference held in this district of Kerala.
The campaign against China in India is aimed at CPI(M), the party leader said while addressing the conference here on Thursday evening.

"China gained growth because of socialism. But, there were global attempts to coverup the China's gains. A false campaign is being carried out to tarnish the image of China and its socialist achievements," he added.
"India is also a part that campaign along with other countries against China which is strong enough to challenge the US's hegemony among the world nations. We have to resist that campaign. India surrendered its foreign policy to the US," he alleged.

China which provided COVID vaccines to 116 countries is defending the global campaign against it by making allies with 109 countries, he added.
Alleging that the Centre was trying to implement certain hidden agendas in Kashmir by sending people from other regions to there, he said the Kashmir was facing the 'same situation similar to Palestine'.
Opining that the Congress party is not able to fight against the BJP, he said the Congress party is totally controlled by a single family. He also alleged that the Governors are acting as RSS pracharaks under the BJP rule in the country.
