Kochi: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan along with his ministers and government officials carried out aerial survey of flood-ravaged districts on Tuesday. A team headed by state Chief Minister reached Calicut by the IAF AN-32 aircraft from Technical Area at Shanugumugam in Thiruvananthapuram, a defence press release said. After reaching Calicut, the Chief Minister along with his ministers and government officials carried out aerial survey of flood-affected areas of Wayanad and Malappuram districts.
They used IAF Mi-17 Helicopter for the survey. E Chandrasekharan, Revenue Minister, Tom Jose, Chief Secretary, Vishwas Mehta, Additional Chief Secretary, Lokhnath Behra, DGP, Venu, Principal Secretary (Revenue), Dhanya Sanal, Defence PRO and AF officials were accompanied him. The CM also visited various relief camps in Wayanad and Malappuram areas, reviewing and discussing about the relief operations carried out in these areas with officials of these areas.
After the visit, he returned Trivandrum in the IAF Aircraft this evening. An Indian Air Force AN-32 aircraft and Mi-17 helicopter were augmented for flood relief operations in Kerala on Tuesday.
