Kozhikode,Terming attempts by alleged vested interests to torpedo the efforts by the ruling LDF Government in implementing development projects as a great sin done to the NextGen, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said the government is committed in executing projects for the benefit of the people and the state.
Inaugurating the concluding session of the three-day district meeting of the CPI-M) here on Wednesday, Pinarayi Vijayan said the Government has the backing of the people and hence is confident of going ahead with all projects sought and deserved by the people.
The state is witnessing massive progress in infrastructure with the national highway, the hill highway, the coastal highway and inland waterway getting readied. The LDF could execute projects like Gail gas pipe and other mega infra projects which the UDF failed to implement, Pinarayi said, without mentioning his assertive intention and focus on the controversial K Rail, the semi high speed silverline rail corridor project.
He said the LDF could win the confidence of people by the massive development activities implemented. But now the UDF is trying to block the way. However, the Government is committed with its mission for the welfare of the state, he added.
