Kerala Police bags National e- Governance Award-2021
 
Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala Police Social Media Cell along with Cyberdome, has bagged the Gold at the National Award for e-Governance 2020-21, for Social Media Cell Covid Initiatives.
The award will be handed over at the 24th National Conference on e-Governance scheduled to be held on January 7 and 8, 2022 at Hyderabad, a press release said here on Monday.
The National Awards for e-Governance are presented every year for exemplary implementation of e-Governance initiatives to recognize and promote excellence in implementation of e-Governance initiatives.
The award that involves three levels of scrutiny, presentation and final selection, includes a Memento and 2 lakhs cash reward for the concerned Government department.

Kerala police is the only police force this year, to bag the award.
The Social Media activities of kerala police which attracted international attention for its ingenuity, reach and innovation during covid was recognized for undertaking several schemes as part of COVID.
Earlier, Kerala Police has bagged several awards, including the Security Watch India (SWI) Innovation
and Excellence Awards 2016, the India Today Award for Top State in Law and Order Management, the “The Most less corrupted State” by Centre for Media Studies, the UMI (Urban Mobility India) Award – 2017 for Traffic Innovations “SOFT” Project, the DSCI Award (Data Security Council of India) 2017 for Cyberdome, the SKOCH Governance Award – 2018 for Cyber Security, the FICCI Smart Policing Award 2018 for Cyberdome, the Police Excellence Award of “Cops Today International” for Community Policing, the Asia Pacific Information Security Award (ISLA Award 2018) by ISC, the UAE Best ‘M’ Government Service Award – 2019 for Traffic Guru Mobile Application of Kerala Police which was presented by the Prime Minister of UAE, the CISO MAC Award – 2019 for Excellence in Cyber Security, the SKOCH Award of Merit – 2020 for COVID Innovations, the “Be a champion of Child Protection” Award – 2019 by ICMEC awarded during Interpol Conference, Lyon, the Digital Technology Subha Award 2020 for Technology Innovations, the E-Governance Award 2020 for Kerala Police Social Media Cell, the SKOCH Award for Digital Initiatives during COVID-19.
