Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala reported 1,103 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday while 1,049 patients have recovered from the disease and total 9,420 patients are under treatment in various districts, Health Minister KK Shailaja said on Saturday evening.
Currently, 1,54,300 persons are under observation across the state. Of these, 1,45,319 are under home or institutional quarantine and 8,981 in hospitals. Total 1,151 people were admitted to the hospital today," the Minister said in a statement.
"Of the cases detected today, 838 are cases of local transmission and the source of contact of 72 patients is unknown. 119 persons have come back from foreign countries and 106 from other states. Four deaths were also reported," she said.
