Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala on Friday reported its highest number of 118 new COVID-19 cases as well as the highest number of 96 recoveries, on a single day, state Health Minister Ms K K Shailaja said this evening. "Presently, a total of 1,32,569 people are under observation in various districts of the state. Of these, 1,30,655 are under surveillance at home or institutional quarantine and 1,914 are isolated in hospitals. 197 people were hospitalised today," the Minister said in a press release.
She said "18 persons from Malappuram district, 17 in Kollam district, 13 from Alappuzha district, 11 in Ernakulam district, 10 from Palakkad district, nine in Pathanamthitta district, eight each from Thiruvananthapuram and Kannur districts, seven in Kottayam district, six from Kozhikode district, four each in Wayanad and Kasargod districts, two from Idukki district and one in Thrissur district are those who were confirmed with Coronavirus infection."
