Thiruvananthapuram: Minister V Abdurahiman and Nenmara MLA K Babu on Friday took oath as members of Kerala Legislative Assembly.
Speaker MB Rajesh administered the oath of office and secrecy to the new MLAs before the house assembled for the day this morning.
Mr Abdurahiman, the National Secular Conference (NSC) leader, will hold the portfolios of Sports, Wakf and Haj Pilgrimage, Posts and Telegraphs, Railways.
Abdurahman representing Tanur Assembly seat took the oath of office in the name of God and K Babu by solemn affirmation. Both of them could not attend the swearing-in ceremony held in the State Assembly on May 24 due to health problems.
Another Congress MLA M Vincent representing Kovalam could not also attend the swearing-in ceremony due to COVID.
