Sabarimala Verdict: Kerala won't file a review petition, says CM
Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government will not file any review petition challenging the Supreme Court's verdict in the Sabarimala issue, said the CM Pinarayi Vijayan.
We will also ensure the facilities and protection to women devotees visiting the temple. Also women police personnel will be deputed to ensure law and order inside and outside the temple. Women who want to go to Sabarimala temple cannot be stopped, added the CM.
The Apex court lifted the ban on the entry of women of menstrual age into the shrine in September.Soon after the verdict, the Travancore Devaswom board and many other women's rights group opposed the verdict by the bench headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra.
However the Pandalam Royal Family said that they would file a petition against the Supreme Court's verdict. The Pandalam Palace Nirvahaka Sangam denied the reports on social media saying that the Palace would not hand over the Thiruvabharanam to the temple authorities during the Makaravilak temple.
