Women reservation bill to be passed in Cong regime : Rahul

(Kochi, Jan 29,2019):Kicking of the Congress party election campaign in Kerala, Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday announced that Congress would bring the Women Reservation Bill in Parliament and restructure the GST introduced by Modi government, if the party came into power in 2019. While addressing a convention of the Congress Party booth, the chief assured that the party will pass the Women Reservation Bill in the Parliament, and wished to see more women and youngsters participating as people of Kerala are extremely capable.

However, he ridiculed after seeing less number of women leaders at the venue. Regarding the GST, introduced by the Modi Government, Mr Gandhi promised that the GST would be restructured in the Congress regime. "It is fundamentally flawed. It kills MSMES, Traders and Exporters. What sort of GST is this? Nobody understood it? And it is practically impossible to implement,'''' he said and assured that " I say again, if the Congress government got power in 2019, we will restructure the Gabbar Singh Tax (GST) to a real GST.'''' Rahul said PM Modi was absolutely intended on dividing India.

He wanted to create two Indias?one for the richest people and the other for farmers, labourers and workers. He was ready to forgive Rs 3.5 lakh crore for 15 of his friends, but not ready to spend one rupee for farmers. Besides, this he dilutes MNREGA and the Land Acquisition Act, which give farmers right to land. "PM Modi has provided maximum income guarantee to 15 of his friends. If you''re Anil Ambani you''ve the guarantee to maximum income you can get. We''re going to give a minimum income guarantee to every Indian," said the Congress president. "We have forgiven farm loan waivers in the three states where we won the elections.

We''ve committed that in 2019 we will have a government that will make up for all the crimes that Narendra Modi has done against farmers over the last five years," he added. "Congress has done transformational things for the country. We believe in transformational politics not incremental politics. When the nation faced a wall of starvation, Congress broke that with Green revolution. Within a decade we got food security. We also brought White revolution and made India biggest producer of milk in the world,'''' he said. " Kerala and India would grow only if we are united. We cannot achieve anything, if we are divided.

Modi says India is ahead of China but everywhere you see ''made in China'' products. And remember, each time you see this, Chinese youths are benefiting, " he said and added that "I am confident if we work together one day, Chinese youngsters will take selfies with Indian phones.'''' Over 50000 booth presidents and vice presidents, half of them women, took part in the meeting. An era of leaders including senior congress leader A K Antony, KPCC president Mullappally Ramachandran, Leaders of the Opposition Ramesh Chennithala and former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy attended the meeting.
